Outdoor Swimming Pool

Olympic sized, fully filtrated sea water, open air swimming pool.

For almost 75 years, Stonehaven Open Air Pool has played an important part in the lives of the people of Stonehaven. Built in June 1934, the pool annually attracted over 65,000 people through it's doors.

Throughout the last 7 decades the pool has gone through some remarkable changes. The most recent includes the addition of a childs paddling pool, completed summer 2009.

Make a day of it - the outdoor pool has a cafe bar, the "shark slide", numerous floats for play in the water, free sun loungers and water polo. Not to mention the annual "Aqua Ceilidh" and midnight swim!

Opening Times

The pool is open from the first Saturday in June through to first Sunday of September, annually.

Remember that your ticket allows you to come and go all day - provided that you produce it on each occasion!

The standard 3 month tickets are for daytime use only, and midnight swims are not part of any discount scheme except as shown above.

"Family" tickets are based on either 2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children.

The term "concession" is as per the normal Local Authority definition - proof of eligibility may be required.
